Me Time
It's Lesbian Visibility Week!
There's an answer to the question of "Can we have Lesbian Visibility Week without the tired debate around the term 'Sapphic'?" I have no idea why this hasn't already been settled, but still some people insist on resurrecting it every April. :::sigh:::
My take is that folks/folx, the train has left the station. Sapphic is the accepted term almost everywhere for inclusiveness of all women who love women, that includes bi, trans, pan, non-binary, etc. It's a much better world and community when we can be inclusive, especially in an era when our government is at war with the concept of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
This doesn't mean that those of us who identify as lesbians can't still shout it from the rooftops, if we want, especially this week.
SO, LET ME SAY LOUD AND CLEAR, I AM A PROUD LESBIAN happy to be part of the larger Sapphic community.
Have a great week.

The decision also impacted Penguin Random House v. Robbins, whose plaintiffs include the Big Five publishers and the Authors Guild, which was filed in late 2023.
